Available Martha’s Vineyard Library Services
Last updated February 12, 2021
We are committed to the health and safety of our staff and the public. All Martha’s Vineyard public libraries have developed an island-wide library plan to resume library services. Working closely with our local Boards of Health, we will follow local and professional guidelines to prevent the spread of COVID-19.
All Vineyard library buildings are currently closed.

Book Returns & Delivery
Book drops reopened in early to mid-June according to the chart above. Due dates were extended and no fines will be assessed. Please note that all returned material is quarantined for up to 7 days, so items may remain on a patron’s account for a week even after they are returned.
Both our on-island and off-island library delivery services have resumed. Patrons may now order library materials from any CLAMS library. Please note that delivery of material takes longer than usual due to the quarantining measures that all libraries have in place. Your patience is appreciated.

Events and meeting room reservations
All in-person public events, public meetings, and private meetings have been cancelled until further notice. We do not know when we will reopen; when we do reopen, we do not expect to be open at full capacity right away. It is better for everyone to make reservations when we know for certain that we can accommodate all expectations of groups who want to meet in our spaces and that we can ensure their safety.
We cannot accept your library donations yet. Please keep your materials donations (books, DVDs, CDs) until we’re able to take them.
The library usually hosts an AARP tax assistance program, but this service will not be held in the library in 2021. For assistance, please contact your Council on Aging. Oak Bluffs COA: Rosemary @ 508-693-4509, ext. 3 or to email at email@example.com
