Oak Bluffs Public Library is accepting applications for part-time library aides, for 3-19 hours per week; hours may include evenings and weekends.

Duties include using computer automated software to locate and circulate materials to patrons, organizing physical items and helping with the public computers.

Successful candidates will have superior customer service and detail-oriented organizational skills. Working knowledge of libraries is preferred.

The Oak Bluffs Library is hiring an innovative Adult Programming Coordinator with a passion for connecting people to the transformative power of libraries. The successful candidate will have a strong commitment to community relations, customer service, social media strategies and content creation. The Coordinator will take a leadership role within our library team to develop, plan, coordinate, promote, and execute library programs and special events that meet the library’s strategic principles.

We seek candidates with demonstrated event planning, customer service and marketing skills who will connect the Island community through compelling library events. Effective time / project management skills are required.

Associate’s degree or equivalent and one (1) to three (3) years of experience in a public library preferred; or an equivalent combination of education and experience in a public service setting. MA Driver’s license required.

Pay range $20.05 – $24.66 per hour, Union position, 40 hours per week with comprehensive benefits package. Deadline for applications is April 11, 12:00 pm.
