Join us for a free community writing workshop on Martha’s Vineyard this July! We’ll be on island for our annual retreat, and a meaningful part of our time is creating with the community. We’ve partnered with the Oak Bluffs Public Library to host a tea time “Bake-Off”. This exercise is based on Paula Vogel’s “Bake-Off” writing challenge. Participants are invited to cook up a piece of writing or work of art (a play, a song, a drawing, a painting, a photograph, etc.), including ingredients inspired by our retreat’s theme: “Legacy”.

Come enjoy light tea time snacks in a supportive space open to writers of all levels. Space is limited, so sign up today! No writing experience necessary. OPEN TO ALL.

The Make Good Project’s mission is to provide a supportive environment for historically under-amplified creators to explore, practice, and produce in all facets of artistic expression. We believe in the transformative power of art and are committed to breaking down barriers, centering underrepresented voices, and nurturing a thriving community where every individual gains equitable access to opportunities, education, and resources within the realm of the arts. Our commitment is to create a more diverse and empowered artistic world.
