Quahog Clamming 101

July 27 @ 9:00 am - 11:30 am

Quahogging Clamming 101

Come learn to clam with Oak Bluffs Shellfish Warden Donovan McElligatt. Learn about the biodiversity of marine life in our waters, information about shellfish licensing and applications,  commercial regulation of the industry, and why proper harvesting of shellfish is important for public health and our ecosystem.

Feel free to wear water-resistant shoes or waiters. We will provide a select amount of clam rakes and baskets but please bring your own if you have some. Patrons will be able to take clams home with them.

We also provide shellfish license applications

This will be at the Lagoon Pond at the Lobster Hatchery. Parking is at the end of Shirley Ave. Rain or Shine.
