Grief 101 Presentation @ West Tisbury Library
March 25 @ 3:00 pm - 4:30 pm
NB – This in-person program is located at the West Tisbury Library
On Tuesday, March 25, from 3-4:30pm, Sharing Kindness will give a Grief 101 presentation at the West Tisbury Library. Grief is a natural response to loss. Yet many bereaved people report feeling misunderstood and abandoned by their friends and communities due to a lack of education about the needs of the grieving. This presentation covers “the basics” of grief: what it is, how it impacts our brains and bodies, and how we can support people in our lives who are going through it. Resources are available as part of the event, including a Child’s Grief Book Pack gifted by Sharing Kindness. This event is presented by the Martha’s Vineyard Libraries. Free and open to the public.
Sharing Kindness, seeded from the shared devastation of suicide and grief, tends a thriving community through empathy, education and courageous conversation. Sharing Kindness provides suicide prevention, mental health education and grief support programs on the Cape & Islands.
