Fake or Fact: Learning How to Spot Misinformation Online

August 8, 2023 @ 11:00 am - 1:00 pm

The internet is filled with tricky content, and it can be hard to know what news and information to trust. Learning the difference between misinformation from trustworthy information is a needed skill for all to develop, especially tweens and teens who spend hours online. As we approach another Presidential year, digital media literacy is more essential than ever. Join ABC News’ Byron Pitts and NBC News’ Rehema Ellis as they share their special insights on becoming a more discerning news consumer. This special event, sponsored by the National Association of Black Journalists (NABJ), will be held on Tuesday, August 8, 2023 from 11:00 am to 1:00 pm at the Oak Bluffs Library. Lunch will be served. Registration is required.
