Led by Anna Marie D’Addarie. Also known as Toothbrush Rugs, this technique is fun and easy to learn. Use scraps of fabric, old sheets, or tee shirts to make a very durable rug that will last for years. In this class you will learn the basics and make a round hot pad, or keep going after the class and make a rug.

Limited enrollment, registration required. This class will be held on Zoom. You will receive link by email after registration.

Supplies needed:

Color #1: 20-25 fabric strips, 1 1/2” wide and no longer than 36” (outside fabric)

Color #2: 10 fabric strips, 1 1/2” wide and no longer than 36” (inside fabric)

NOTE: Use two different color fabric strips. Tee shirt strips are the easiest to work with. Cotton fabric will also work such as an old sheet.

12” yarn or twine (this will not be part of the finished rug)

Scissors

Large paper clip

Masking tape (6”)

Straight pins (4)

Cardboard, a piece of foam, small pillow, or anything you can pin the rug to as you are weaving; approx. 12” X12”
