Margin Alexander’s music is a genre comprised of pieces with Neo-classical, Neo-romantic and cinematic nuances. His music is almost always preceded by brief descriptions of each piece by the composer himself, in order to convey the wanted imagery. The composer likes to experiment with form and dynamics as well as with a variety of unorthodox harmonies, that make his music unique and define his style. The pieces range from preludes to suites, toccatas, technical etudes, chamber music, piano nocturnes and they all tell a story. Quite often, Mr. Alexander likes to premiere new pieces at almost each concert and interact with the audience in between performances.

Margin B. Alexander is an East Coast based composer/pianist from the New York City area. He avidly performs around the world as a freelance composer/pianist on various offered artistic commissions and also as a guest artist. Some of his most notable performances have taken place at Carnegie Hall, Musee d’art Moderne et d’art Contemporain de Nice, IBLA Grand Prize of Ragusa and Opera America in Manhattan. Margin studied piano and music composition both at Rowan University & Montclair State University under Harold Oliver and Robert Aldridge (Grammy Award US Composer.) Throughout his musical career, Mr. Alexander has had numerous opportunities to perform mainly across the United States, Europe and parts of Asia. He enjoys performing his own music. At the moment, film music and concert touring are his most important projects.
