Join us at the Oak Bluffs Library as we explore The New Brownies’ Book with its creators, scholar Dr. Karida L. Brown and award-winning artist Charly Palmer. The New Brownies’ Book reimagines the very first publication created for African American children in 1920.  Passages will be read from the book by the creators.  Books will be available for sale and to be signed.   
Charly Palmer will also explore his illustration process for the next book to be released titled, How Sweet The Sound.  All ages are welcomed.
