Collaborative College Essay Writing
October 14, 2023 @ 11:30 am - 1:00 pm
Feeling stressed about college essay writing? Whether you are still picking working on picking a topic or have a full draft that could use a second set of eyes, this workshop is for you! In this workshop, Lucy will discuss the two major college essay types, creative themes that produce a unified essay, and the importance of narrative arcs and sensory details. We will then discuss our current step in the process in small groups, with time for individual discussion with Lucy. Brainstorming prompts, editing checklists, and sample essays will be available for you to bring home. A pizza lunch is provided—bring a friend and whatever draft you have so far!
