Intro to Computers

CLASS THREE: Become more comfortable with technology by taking this four part course. (Dec 5th and 6th 9am-10am and Dec 12th and 13th 9am-10am.) Participants will learn a basic foundation for using computers and the Internet. Class is for beginners and those who use computers often, but aren’t sure why or how the functions work, thus getting frustrated when something doesn’t work. All classes will focus on using desktop computers, but we will discuss tablets, smart phones, and digital library resources. To register, or for more information: email nferry@clamsnet.org, call 508-693-9433, or come into the library. **Limited seats available. **Registration required. **Participants must commit to all classes.** No experience necessary.**

Cooking Competition: Chicken Soup

Think you have the best Chicken Soup on the Island? We’ll be the judge of that! Sign up today at the Circulation Desk or email oakbluffslibrary@gmail.com to enter into the competition.

The Rules:

1. Each applicant must sign up in advance.
2. Please provide an index card noting whether soup is vegetarian and whether it contains nuts/eggs/shellfish.
3. Applicants must supply their own cooking pots and all utensils. Crockpots are encouraged!
4. All applicants are required to make one full pot (at least 2 quarts) of soup.
5. All applicants must supply their own ingredients.
6. All applicants are required to bring soup by 11:45am.
7. Tables, chairs, bowls, spoons, and napkins will be provided.
8. All applicants will be judged at 1:30 pm and awards will be presented shortly thereafter.
9. All Applicants are responsible for cleaning their area.

Library Mini-Golf for Adults

Our wildly popular after-hours 18+ mini-golf event returns! Come to our annual Library Mini Golf event, and play 18 holes through the stacks. $15 admission per person, or $25 per couple will also get you beer or wine, plus delicious food. Tickets available in advance or at the door.
