Families join us and celebrate Women’s History Month at the OBPL on Saturday, March 10th from 10-11:30AM. Kids can make crafts all geared to building confidence and celebrating what makes them amazing. Geared for kids 2 grade and older, but all are welcome.

Library Mini Golf! Friday, February 9th from 6-9 and Saturday, February 10th from 10-1, come play 18 holes through the stacks. Brought to you by the Library Friends of Oak Bluffs. Friday night is 21+ and costs players $15, which includes dinner and drinks. Saturday is for families, and is free. There will also be a special free TEEN ONLY course from 3-4PM on February 9th.
The library is all about being cozy on Saturday, December 16th. Join the staff and wear your favorite (and ugliest) holiday sweater while sipping hot cocoa. And from 10-11:30AM, children are welcome to take part in our DIY Hot Cocoa in a Jar craft. Kids can decorate a jar of hot cocoa mix to give to someone they love for the Holidays.
It’s getting spooky in the Children’s Room! Saturday November 4th from 10-11:30am, kids and their families can tour our spooky tunnel, play frightful games, and make a ghostly craft.
A great reason to wear those costumes one more time.
Families join us Saturday, October 14th from 10-11:30 for our annual Fall Festival, this year PUMPKIN themed! We will have pumpkin painting, pumpkin games, and pumpkin stories. Sure to be fun for the entire family.
Fossil Day on Thursday October 12th 4 pm- 7:45 pm, is a FREE drop-in and mingle event, open to all ages. Bring your own fossils to share with others or to ask the experts about. Don’t have any fossils? Come enjoy what others bring and listen to the experts as they present. Families and students are encouraged to attend and explore the science of Paleontology! Event is brought to you by a partnership between MPRI, the Oak Bluffs Public Library and the National Park Service. When: Thursday October 12th, 4 pm- 7:45 pm . Where: Oak Bluffs Public Library. Saturday, Septmber 30th the Coast Guard is bringing a boat to the library to teach children and their families about boats and boat safety from 10:30-12:30. For older children, there will be a soap “scrimshaw” craft in the program room from 10-11:30. Younger ones are welcome to do our maritime scavenger hunt all day long! Sure to be a boatload of fun for the entire family.
